On 31.03-02.04.2023, in the sports and entertainment hall “Under the towers” in Chęciny, the International Championships of Polish Cadets in wrestling – 6th Ksawery Waliszewski Memorial. Over 350 competitors from Poland, Ukraine and Denmark took part in the competition.
Those gathered in the “Under the towers” hall were welcomed by the Mayor of the Commune and City of Chęciny – Robert Jaworski. Among the invited guests were: the Bishop of Kielce, Fr. Marian Florczyk, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Anna Krupka, President of the Świętokrzyskie Industrial Group INDUSTRIA Szczepan Ruman, President of the Polish Wrestling Association Andrzej Supron, and President of the Polish Boxing Association Andrzej Nowaczek. The main judge was Zbigniew Grudzień – president of the INDUSTRIA LKS ZNICZ CHĘCINY club.
The representatives of the Industria LKS Znicz Chęciny club won 4 medals and two places just outside the podium. In the team classification of Women Cadets, the club took third place out of 57 clubs.

All medalists qualified for the Finals of the National Youth Olympics in Wrestling. The event, organized by the Chęciny club, was supported by sponsors: ŚGP INDUSTRIA, Polish Wrestling Association, Kielce Marshal’s Office, Chęciny Commune and City, and Mirosław Rylski – Euro store chain, Agnieszka and Jacek Iwanowski – Białogon Bakery, Ryszard and Jacek Ramiączek.
